Research &
Vision
Research & Vision is the space where landscape design extends beyond the scale of the intervention, opening up to a reflection on the relationship between the environment, society, and collective responsibility.
Here, landscape is not just a design material, but a cultural and critical tool, capable of interrogating themes such as care, memory, time, and the future of cities.
Arborvitae and The Living Chapel form the core of this research, within which the landscape project is configured as a space for ethical, social and environmental reflection.
ARBORVITAE

ARBORVITAE was born from a critical reflection on the role of cemeteries within urban systems and on the way in which contemporary societies address the theme of memory.
Launched in 2013, the project explores a possible trajectory of urban regeneration, rethinking farewell venues as ecological infrastructures capable of generating environmental and social value.

THE LIVING CHAPEL PROJECT

THE LIVING CHAPEL PROJECT is a research and action program dedicated to the care of our common home, inspired by the Encyclical Laudato si'.
The project interprets the landscape as a temporary and living space, where rituals, collective responsibility, and a relationship with the place take on a cultural and ethical dimension. Over time, it has given rise to installations developed in different contexts, as local declinations of a shared vision.

Further details, contexts and developments of the project are described in the Journal section.
