Research & Vision

Research & Vision is the space where landscape design extends beyond the scale of the individual intervention, prompting reflection on the relationship among environment, society, and collective responsibility.

Here, landscape is not only a matter of design, but a cultural and critical instrument, capable of addressing themes such as care, memory, and the future of the contemporary city.

Arborvitae and The Living Chapel form the core of this research, within which landscape design emerges as a tool for ethical, social, and environmental reflection.

ARBORVITAE

ARBORVITAE originates from a critical reflection on the role of cemeteries within urban systems and on the way contemporary societies engage with the question of memory.

Initiated in 2013, the project explores a possible trajectory of urban transformation, rethinking places of commemoration as ecological infrastructures capable of generating environmental and social value.

THE LIVING CHAPEL PROJECT

drone2.jpg

THE LIVING CHAPEL PROJECT is a research and action programme dedicated to the care of our common home, inspired by the Encyclical Laudato si’.

The project understands landscape as a temporary and living space, where rituality, collective responsibility, and the relationship with place acquire a cultural and ethical dimension.

Over time, it has given rise to installations developed in different contexts, as local expressions of a shared vision.

Further insights, contexts, and developments of the project are documented in the Journal section.
