ARBORVITAE
Il giardino che ancora non c'è,
dedicato a chi non c'è più

Close your eyes and imagine: not a stone cemetery, but a garden. Not the cold silence of marble, but the rustling of leaves in the wind and the singing of birds.
This is Arborvitae: a new cemetery model, an urban forest where trees become guardians of memory, transforming mourning into an experience of reconnecting with nature.
The book intertwines philosophy, ethics, and ecology, exploring the value of the tree as a universal symbol and opening a reflection on the political choices that influence the environment and our relationship with death and the landscape.
After reading Consuelo's book, I asked myself: where would I like to be buried? Life has an end, and it is this end that pushes us to seek meaning and peace even in farewell.
Between a stone cemetery and a tree holding my ashes in a garden like Arborvitae, I would have no doubts. This project offers a new vision, a way to transform mourning that unites the beauty of nature with the sacredness of remembrance.
I'm sure my choice would have a great following.
Long live the gardens, the trees, and the life that surrounds them. Long live the beauty that endures!
